Description

This course provides extensive opportunities for students to communicate and interact in French independently. Students will develop their listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills while exploring contemporary issues and cultural topics related to French-speaking communities.

Unit 1: Communication and Identity

Students strengthen their ability to communicate in French while discussing topics related to identity, interests, and social experiences.

Unit 2: Francophone Culture and Society

Students explore traditions, history, and contemporary issues in French-speaking communities.

Unit 3: Media and Current Events

Students analyze French-language media texts and discuss current global and cultural issues.

Unit 4: Literature and Creative Expression

Students read and interpret literary texts from Francophone authors and develop their own written responses.

Unit 5: Persuasive Communication

Students develop oral and written arguments in French on contemporary issues.

Unit 6: Culminating Communication Project

Students complete a final communication-based task demonstrating their listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills in French.
