Entrepreneurship: The Venture (Grade 11)

This course focuses on ways in which entrepreneurs recognize opportunities, generate ideas, and organize resources to plan successful ventures that enable them to achieve their goals. Students will create a venture plan for a student-run business.

Unit 1: Introduction to Entrepreneurship

Students explore the role of entrepreneurs in society and examine the characteristics of successful entrepreneurs.

Unit 2: Opportunity Recognition and Idea Generation

Students develop skills for identifying business opportunities and generating venture ideas.

Unit 3: Planning a Business Venture

Students learn how to create a business plan and organize resources for a venture.

Unit 4: Marketing and Promotion

Students explore marketing strategies and promotional techniques used by businesses.

Unit 5: Financial Planning and Operations

Students investigate financial considerations and operational planning for a business venture.

Unit 6: Culminating Venture Plan Project

Students develop and present a comprehensive venture plan for a student-run business.
