This course explores expressions of identity, relationships, and heritage in First Nations, Métis, and Inuit cultures.

Unit 1: Indigenous Identity and Worldviews

Students explore Indigenous perspectives on identity, community, and relationships.

Unit 2: Cultural Traditions and Expressions

Students examine cultural traditions including storytelling, art, and ceremony.

Unit 3: Land and Environment

Students investigate the relationship between Indigenous communities and the land.

Unit 4: Historical and Contemporary Perspectives

Students explore historical and contemporary experiences of Indigenous peoples.

Unit 5: Community and Reconciliation

Students examine the importance of reconciliation and respectful relationships.

Unit 6: Culminating Cultural Inquiry Project
