Mathematics

The Grade 4 Mathematics course strengthens number sense and problem-solving skills while introducing more complex mathematical concepts. Students explore multiplication, division, fractions, measurement, geometry, and data analysis while applying mathematical reasoning to real-world situations.

Unit 1: Number Sense and Numeration

Students strengthen understanding of multiplication and division while exploring fractions and number relationships.

Unit 2: Patterns and Algebraic Thinking

Students identify and extend patterns while exploring mathematical relationships and simple equations.

Unit 3: Measurement

Students investigate measurement concepts such as length, perimeter, area, mass, and capacity using appropriate tools and units.

Unit 4: Geometry and Spatial Sense

Students explore properties of two-dimensional shapes and three-dimensional figures and investigate spatial relationships.

Unit 5: Data Literacy and Financial Literacy

Students collect and analyze data using charts and graphs and explore practical financial concepts such as budgeting and decision-making.
