PPL4O online enables students to further develop the knowledge and skills they need to make healthy choices, with special emphasis on how students can maintain habits of healthy, active living throughout their lives as they make the transition to adulthood and independent living. Students will enhance their movement competence, personal fitness, and confidence through participation in a wide range of physical activities, and acquire understanding of factors that contribute to healthy development.

Unit 1: Fitness Planning and Active Living

Students learn how to design and implement a personalized fitness plan, applying knowledge of fitness principles, components of fitness, and evidence-based exercise strategies to support lifelong active living.

Unit 2: Health and Wellness in Adulthood

Students examine factors that promote health and well-being in adulthood, including stress management, nutrition, sleep, mental health, and the impact of lifestyle choices on long-term wellness.

Unit 3: Social, Cultural, and Environmental Influences on Health

Students analyze how social networks, cultural norms, media, and environmental factors influence health behaviours and access to wellness resources, and explore strategies for creating healthier communities.
